For anyone curious, I ordered an Air 3S from DJI store last Friday, it shipped Saturday out of Malaysia, with stops in China, Japan and South Korea along the way before landing in Anchorage where it cleared customs less than an hour after the plane landed.
FWIW, the Mini 4 Pro package I purchased from the DJI Store in September 2023 is still priced the same today. It seems the effects from the "tariffs of doom" aren't as bad as some echo chambers make them out to be.
It just dawned on me that the ban looks like it specifically lists importing of new drones into the United States. Does that mean brick and mortars and places like Amazon will be able to continue to sell existing stock after December 23rd assuming the band goes into effect, which it looks pretty...

User control over the battery discharge cycle already currently exists. Don't store the batteries in the hub or the drone if you want them to auto-discharge. Simple.
