White House says CDC, FDA have resources needed amid Cyclospora outbreak

The CDC confirmed Friday that the outbreak of cyclosporiasis has expanded to nine states. Outbreaks in Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania have now been connected to cases in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Michigan. The FDA expects cases of the severe stomach illness will continue to increase.
